Getting started with a bang

Tonight I decided to make the Red Lentil and Spinach Soup from The Vegetarian 5-Ingredient Gourmet. I really liked this soup the first time I made it, and it was so easy. Not to mention it makes SO much and the ingredients are cheap. That's my kind of meal.

The soup was cooking nicely when I went to add in the spinach. Unfortunately the bowl of spinach was slippery, and I totally dropped it right into the pot, splashing my face and clothes with hot curry soup. That sucked. Luckily it wasn't hot enough to burn me, but I can tell you this: curry doesn't feel good in your eye. Luckily, once I calmed down and cleaned myself up, the soup still turned out awesome. We dipped toasted pita wedges into it, and it was fantastic!
