I Love My New Shirt

Vegan-Shirt-800.jpg

Thank you, Jen Collins for the hilarious Christmas present! Just in case anyone can't read it, it says, "Vegans get their protein elsewhere." Like tofu, right?

Vegans are mean because their not only hurting their body their hurting the cows and chickens! Key questions:
1. What happens when you dont milk a cow?
2. What happens to the chickens eggs when they hatch, the chickens population gets over populated having the chickens food suplly run low.
3. What are you seriously proving towards veganism?
4. Vegetairians are much more healthy if considering to become vegan or helping the animals.
5. Consider your health, look at a rabbit what do they eat? Grass and pellets. Just like you if your becoming a vegan.
6. I'm not harassing anyone not to become a vegan but seriously consider all these question before commiting yourself to it!

Ummmm. Excuse me but,
1.Your right! Cows DO need to be milked, but nowadays they have machines that milk and hurt them. Also, the dairy cows are stored in small areas along with the other cows with barely enough room to turn around. Then, when they can no longer produce milk, they're killed. Oh yeah, and did I mention that the milking equipment gives them udder infections? That means that there IS pus in your milk.
2.Same goes here. The hens are raised only to produce eggs and are stored in cabinet sized cages, six or eight in each one. This can stunt their growth and even kill them.
3. We're proving that we're not cold and heartless, like you.
4. I dont understand what you said here...
5.Yep, and oddly enough I'm proud of that.
6.Maybe you should do a little more research next time!

"You ARE right"
"They ARE hurting"

Yes, April, vegans look like rabbits. Nice thought process.

Lol @ Internet fight

Although I think that veganism(right word here?) is stupid, I'm not going to stop people who wholeheartedly believe in it pracitsing it.

I don't care if you think that my habits of eating animals is wrong, you know why? Because I form my own opinions on things.

This isn't only directed to vegans, it goes for anyone, even April up there, let others form their own opinions and don't try to force yours on others.

If you don't like it, eat me :P
(Pun intended and shameless)

i have nothing aginst vegans, it's the telling me what to eat that gets under my skin. i tried to get with the cause, but every vegan has been so smug about how they are somehow better than everyone else. i don't care what you eat. stop caring about what i eat. by the way i know milk has puss in it. just like i know that organic vegetables are grown in feces. life's not clean and sterile. in fact it can be cruel and disgusting witness a human birth and you get the idea that nature isn't clean (or even "morally pure" given the cause of birth). we might not see the disgusting part all the time but it's there.

i say live a little!! you gotta die of something, why not pick?

1. Calves are supposed to milk cows, not machines.

2. Not so many would hatch if there wasn't a demand

3.animals feel pain

4. so what you're saying is that we'll stop eating the animals but still torture them for their output? I don't think i see your logic

5. i don't think i've ever eaten a pellet and i have a wide and varied diet

6. There is alot of harrasment in that comment.

3. What are you seriously proving towards veganism?

Who says we have to prove anything? Many vegans I know are only into it for the health benefits. Its just like asking "What are you seriously proving when you exercise". I do it for the animals and my health. Some people should do research and not just say vegans dont get protein. We get plenty.

Wow! I love that t-shirt! tee hee, vegan humor rocks!

You people are all so petty. Let the vegans make their own decisions, and if they feel good about it, bravo for them! If the vegans want to act on their beliefs, they have every right to. They are free to do that. Congratulations to all you who believe you can create a better world by adopting a vegan lifestyle, I admire that.

I've got to comment on April's almost incoherent post.

1. el is right - calves are the only thing that is supposed to milk a cow. Humans are the only creatures who nurse past maturity - and they nurse from other animals - kind of weird when you think about it. Another thing: a cow does not "need to be milked". It will stop producing milk if it is weaned from nursing. If a nursing human mother's breasts continue to be milked, they will produce milk for several years.

2. The comment about too many chickens running around because eggs will be hatched rather than eaten is asinine. You don't get FERTILIZED eggs in a carton at a grocery store. Eggs for human consumption are UNFERTILIZED. Kind of like a human female's monthly period. Still want that omelette?

i totally just google imaged vegan and found this hot picture of you!

im vegan, i do it because i respect animals the same way i respect humans, animals are no less then us they have equal rights. i dont degrade anyone who eats meat, they can do what they wish, i do it for the respect not saying people who eat meat dont have any respect for animals, veganism is not a big deal people should mind their own buisness

I'm vegan, and pregnant and I still get plenty of protein. I also talked to my doctor about being vegan and he said almost the whole United States consumes twice as much protein as they need to a day.

Look at this before you say that vegans are unhealthy..... If you're a meat and dairy consumer we're the ones who should be pointing our finger at you!

Aw, I googled "Vegan" and got that picture of you too. Haha, love the shirt. You're cute. ^^ And I agree with the post concerning grammar, if you want to get a point across and have people take your statement seriously, you should probably spell check. :D

Yes, that shirt looks good on you!

Anyway, the first comment, by April, is a hilarious one! Made me laugh! I won't comment on it, I agree with Darrin and the others.

Oh, I also searched for vegan and found this aswell http://www.vegaaniliitto.fi/vegaia/kuvat/05-03-vegan-fitness.jpg
My brother is vegan and also has a very healthy body like that. I drink milk and look like a straw ;)

Again, nice shirt! Bye!

Love the comments. I am a vegan also. I love the shirt on the pretty girl. I believe in not killing any of God's creatures. Just because humans are capable of killing, doesn't mean we have to. Veganism is the wave of the future.

Im a vegetarian who has never made that final leap to being Vegan. The one salient point mentioned above, but that seems to have been missed is 'each to their own' (words to that effect). There is enough intolerance in this world without adding yet more. I don't eat meat because i choose not to for my own reasons. I do not complain when my friends chow down on a burger or steak, i do not have the right to do so. Nor do I have the right to impose my belief system on anyone else.
I havent eaten meat in 27 years. To say i am unhealthy would be a gross misjustice. I am a champion martial artist who is fitter than 75% of the population, this is through a health and balanced diet. I do not take any form of supplements and i have no health issues. In short Vegetarianism or even Vegan(ism) carries no more of a health risk than eating a pound of dead flesh.

I'm not vegan, April.
But I know merely being vegan doesn''t hurt your body. A very low fat, VEGAN diet more often than not lessens the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis. So unless you only eat grass, pellets and junk food, you're most probably healthier as a vegan.

3. Respecting life in general. Shucks, maybe there wouldn't be so much shameless exploitation (such as industrially farming animals, sweat shops, abusing our natural resources, any form of cruelty [b/c sadism is exploitative], etc) all-around if animal exploitation wasn't so fundamentally customary.

And bob's,
" by the way i know milk has puss in it. just like i know that organic vegetables are grown in feces. life's not clean and sterile. "

Organic vegetables are GROWN in feces *NATURALLY* . It's not natural for another species to drink a newborn's milk, let alone milk it mechanically until it bleeds, gets infected and spews pus into your drink. (The blood's in the chocolate milk so you can't see it.) You wash off vegetables, so you don't eat feces or dirt. We all know life can be cruel, but we really don't have to support making it cruel.

hey i love the shirt. I am also a vegan and i can't believe that those stupied a**** ^^ , feel so personaly hurted - i am wearing a shirt with a cow who say : "how about i eat u fucker" . so don't feel alone. those who say living vegan is stupid or so are just blind and in the end- i hope so- they will die first;-)
