Truffles
I've finally given away most of the goodies I made for Christmas, so I can finally post them for everyone to see: truffles!

Clockwise from top left: Chocolate, Coconut, Orange, Cherry Brandy, Almond, Mint, Ginger, Pomegranate, and Mexican.
I'd been planning these for months, and I think it paid off. Everyone seemed to think they were lovely AND delicious. Perfect!
I actually only used two recipes for these: This basic recipe, to which I added flavorings, and this recipe for the pomegranate ones. They were actually pretty easy to make, but they were time consuming. Luckily there are some leftovers so I get a treat, too!

Also on our site: learn of the life of vegan A. Bronson Alcott (1799-1888), and the work of Emarel Freshel, who in 1911 founded an animal liberation and vegetarian group in Boston.
Vegetarian Museum also has old-fashioned recipes, vintage postcards, and new articles.
